Family Mediation Council (“FMC”) was set up with the aim of harmonising standards for family mediation. The FMC’s founder members maintain registers of family mediator members who meet those standards.
The FMC is dedicated to working to promote best practice in family mediation and to ensuring the public can confidently access family mediation services offering such exacting professional and training standards.

- Undertake FMC accredited continuous professional development
- Receive FMC recognised supervision/professional practice consultancy
- Adhere to a clear complaints procedure
- Hold relevant insurance
