This two-part webinar explores how mediation is a practical, cost-effective way to manage conflict without the drama. It’s about staying amicable, getting organised, and preparing for the next steps. We aim to debunk the myths surrounding family mediation and discuss how it can benefit you and your family when navigating separation. Part 2 focuses on issues relating to finances.

Part 1 of this webinar series focuses on how mediation can support separating families in making arrangements for their children, including exploring how a child’s voice can be brought into the process.

Part 2 explores how to navigate financial separation and divorce, ensuring you have the right team of professionals supporting you throughout.

In both parts, we’ll share key resources, discuss how to choose the right mediator, and explore different funding options available for mediation.

We’ll also look at how mediation can work where there is a history of domestic abuse or high levels of parental conflict, and what options are available if an impasse is reached.

This session will help you to understand:

  • What is mediation and what is it not;
  • How to choose a mediator;
  • Funding your sessions;
  • Helpful resources for you and your family;
  • The process;
  • Exploring options if an impasse is reached at mediation to included ENE and arbitration;
  • The approach to where there has been domestic abuse;
  • How other professionals can be involved in the process.
