Sarah is a Partner and Head of Mediation at Hall Brown Family Law, a boutique national family law firm. Sarah is a practicing solicitor and accredited mediator specialising in high net worth and complex children and financial matters. Sarah champions Non-Court Dispute Resolution in her practice as a mediator and solicitor and an active advocate to promote this way of working.
Sarah is the Chair of Family Mediation Week and was recently named Family Mediator of the Year at the National Mediation Awards. Sarah is on the Resolution DR committee, which is aimed at leading in process and practice in NCDR. |

Hannah Nicholls is a family lawyer and mediator. Hannah is passionate about finding new and innovative approaches to help her clients achieve an amicable resolution. She is a family mediator and works with client’s using alternative dispute resolution methods to resolve issues in constructive and non-confrontational ways. Hannah is also able to represent clients through the One Couple, One Lawyer process. Hannah is a member of Resolution and sits on the West Midlands Resolution Committee and the national Resolution Parenting After Parting Committee. |

Adèle Ballantyne is the first Therapist member in Resolution’s history to chair a committee. She is a member of the Shropshire and Black Country, Collaborative Pods and is based in Shropshire but works nationally and internationally. Adèle has experience in helping a wide variety of individuals, couples and families. Her consultancy work with organisations includes contracts with NHS Trust departments and corporate organisations. During the past five years, Adèle has been providing seminars and workshops (Continuing Professional Development) for family solicitors, barristers, mediators and judges, examining relationship break-down from a Relationship Psychology viewpoint and providing strategies and essential skills for improving outcomes with clients. She offers education and therapeutic support for legal professionals to raise awareness of the effects of vicarious trauma and stress, to help improve mental health and wellbeing.
Adèle’s client work includes helping separating couples through the traumatic process of divorce in a therapeutic way and by attending collaborative round table meetings with couples and their lawyers.
The focus of this work is to inform, help and support families during the divorce journey. They develop a more positive outlook, limit the emotional damage to children caused by this process and most importantly, co-parent their children in the future.
Adèle is a contributor to 101 Questions Answered About Separating With Children and contributed to and co-edited Parenting Through Separation a 40 page booklet produced by Resolution.
She deliver workshops, present seminars and speak at conferences. Adèle has appeared as a guest on several podcasts, television and speak regularly on local radio. |
