When military families separate, there are number of special considerations, including financial, practical and emotional issues. This webinar looks at how the mediation process can support the particularly complex issues faced by separating military families, where families have member who are or have been in the Army, Navy or RAF, and whether they are at the start of their careers or senior/retiring personnel.
The webinar will cover financial issues such as HM Forces pensions, service accommodation, education provision, child maintenance calculations and death-in-service provision, as well as issues for children, specifically parenting when one parent is on deployment. It will look at practical issues for mediation, such as if family members are overseas, and emotional issues for participants. Finally, we will hear from or speakers as they reflect on their extensive experience of working with military families, and how the mediation process can be used to support them when separating.
