Vacancy for a Professional Practice Consultant to join Relate Mediation London North East & Essex

Relate Mediation London North East & Essex are looking to welcome a PPC to join our team.

We are an established service proud to be offering a high standard of mediation services to clients and families.

Competence with legal aid would be helpful as we hold a legal aid contract but not essential. Experience in all aspects of family mediation is preferred. This is a self-employed role.

Vacancy for a Mediator to join Relate Mid and East Surrey

Purpose of the role

To work with the centre to deliver mediation to clients. There is a requirement to contribute to and benefit from a structured organisational context designed to provide excellent services for clients in our community.

To remain an effective mediator, the individual will engage in training and development and ongoing supervision.

 

Accountability

The Mediator is accountable to the Chief Executive.

Job Description

To comply with FMC guidelines and to work within Relate’s policies and practice guidelines, including those on equal opportunities & diversity and confidentiality and in every respect to work to maintain the standards and reputation of Relate.

To work as a mediator at dates and times agreed with the centre management and to vary these as reasonably requested. Not to work at times, places or venues unauthorised by centre management.

To participate in the required training and development appropriate to the job role.

To undertake such background reading and additional assignments as deemed necessary to complement the mediation supervision.

To attend individual supervision.

To account for activity as a mediator to the CEO and Supervisors.

To maintain adequate and secure case records and provide information about activity as a mediator, timesheets and other data.

To maintain awareness of Relate policies and procedures and to implement announced changes.

To comply with the complaints, disciplinary and grievance procedures.

To undertake other activities deemed reasonable at the direction of the CEO.

Person Specification

Essential

  1. Qualified Mediator in accordance with FMC framework
  2. Retain membership of a Family Mediation Member Organisation.
  3. A minimum of 50 hours experience as a Mediator
  4. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people on the telephone and in-person
  5. Ability to work as part of a Practitioner Team, and to support the work of that team
  6. General administrative and organisational skills
  7. Ability to evaluate services on an ongoing basis
  8. Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  9. Proficient in the use of a Case Management system and Microsoft Office suite.
  10. Willingness to continue own professional development training
  11. Commitment to the Common Purpose Statement, the Equal Opportunities Policy, and the Confidentiality Policy of Relate
  12. Willing to work at any of the Relate Mid and East Surrey centres.
  13. Willing to work flexible hours based on the needs of the charity

Vacancy for a FMCA Mediator with MiD Mediation and Counselling

MiD Mediation and Counselling is looking for a fully accredited Mediator to work at their busy service for at least one day a week in Hampton Hill, Middlesex.  We are looking for a family mediator with at least one year’s experience who is able to undertake Legal Aid as well as private mediations.  The mediations would mainly take place in our office although some would be online.

Vacancy for a Practice Manager with Staffordshire Family Mediation Service

Due to retirement the opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager to manage an established Family Mediation Service based in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

The role will involve managing the Service on a day to day basis which includes overall responsibility of a Legal Aid Agency contract.

You will be responsible to a Management Committee and required to implement their decisions.

You must be a practicing FMCA Mediator and qualified to Professional Practice Consultant level with either management experience or the ambition to further your Mediation career with leadership duties and responsibilities.

The role is anticipated to be a combination of Management responsibilities together with a working case load of Mediation files and PPC supervision duties.

Competitive rates of pay and hours negotiable dependent on the right applicant. We offer free quality supervision, including group supervision and inhouse training to share good practice with other experienced Mediators together with full professional indemnity cover.

Opportunities for Accredited Mediators with Children First Family Mediation

Children First Family Mediation (CFFM) are seeking self-employed accredited mediators to expand their team of mediators. The service holds a Legal Aid Contract and offers CIM. Mediators must be able to carry out legal aid as well as privately funded cases. CIM accreditation desirable but not essential. An admin team supports the management of the caseload and collection of fees. The service pays £25 / hour, covers the cost of Professional Indemnity cover, individual supervision with a PPC and membership of the College of Mediators. There are also regular inhouse team and case meetings. Although based in Bury and covering Greater Manchester mediators could be based anywhere in the country as mediation is offered via Zoom as well as in person at the Bury office and outposts across Greater Manchester.

Family Mediation Council Accredited (FMCA) Mediators

The Family Mediation Trust

The Family Mediation Trust is looking to expand its team with up to three part-time FMCA mediators.

The Trust has set out to provide high quality mediation in an accessible way to those that need this support. While current delivery is happening online, the future approach will see a mix of online and face-to-face meetings. Mediation work is delivered across the East of England. While it would be ideal to have candidates who can work at times in the region to provide face-to-face meetings, they are also open to candidates who can deliver online only.

Family Mediation Council Accredited (FMCA) Mediator Consultant opportunity with The London Mediation Service

The London Mediation Service are currently looking for Accredited Mediators to join our team.  The role is remote and flexible, with you choosing the hours and days that you would want to work. We would use video technology to complete MIAMs and Sessions of Mediation.

This is a self employed role with the service taking care of all back end administration.

We would prefer that applicants are able to deal with all issues within the family mediation arena. Competence with legal aid is a bonus but is not essential.
