MIAM Standards 

New standards governing mediators’ conduct of Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMs) come into force on 1.10.22. For details please see the MIAM Standards page here.

 

Temporary Regulatory Amendments Due to Covid-19

Standards for all Registered Mediators

The FMC operates a framework for professional standards and regulation for family mediators. All mediators should read the FMC Manual of Professional Standards and Self-Regulatory Framework (updated). Please note that there are pending changes to this document to incorporate new MIAM standards (see above).

Family mediators must also adhere to the FMC’s Code of Practice.
