The FMC currently approves:
- Family mediation foundation training courses; and
- Child-Inclusive Mediation training courses
Apply for a foundation training course to be approved
To apply for a family mediation foundation training course to be approved, providers need to complete the Course Approval Application form and send it, with relevant attachments, to fmsb@familymediationcouncil.org.uk and pay the application fee. Apply for a child-inclusive mediation training course to be approved
To apply for a child-inclusive mediation training course to be approved, providers need to complete the CIM Course Approval Application Form and send it, with relevant attachments, to fmsb@familymediationcouncil.org.uk and pay the application fee. Guidance on completing the form is contained within the form itself, though when developing courses and completing the application training providers should carefully consider the Standards Framework changes for Child-Inclusive Mediation.
The application fee is £400. If an application is submitted and the FMSB determines that it needs to be resubmitted with substantial further information, a further fee of £100 will be payable. Fees should be paid by bank transfer to the Family Mediation Council, account number: 21649388, sort code: 40-24-13.
